BrewDog on Division Street in Sheffield has invited customers to reserve a table from May 2 onwards. It comes after Boris Johnson confirmed he would set out the three-stage roadmap to take England out of national lockdown on February 22. BrewDog is best known for its wide variety of craft beer, cider and pizza.

New Delhi: Scholars from marginalised communities are significantly underrepresented in PhD programmes at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in the country and applicants from these communities also have a lower acceptance rate.
The Hindu in a three-part series, flies in the face of the common defence put forward by these institutes that they have fewer PhD scholars from marginalised communities due to the lack of applicants.

‘University Grants Commission rules permit universities to follow State’s policy’
The Madras High Court on Monday directed the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), under the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, to explain on what basis it had been insisting that universities in the State follow the Central reservation policy for courses funded by it. The court sought to know this as the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines permit varsities to follow the State government’s reservation policy.
